A new name - SPDocKit5.0
SPDocKit, the popular nickname for Documentation Toolkit for SharePoint, is now the tools’ official new name. With a new name comes a new look, so fresh skin colors and icon set are added.
Now you can edit, clone, transfer and remove permissions, move or copy permissions to groups, remove users or groups directly from SPDocKit in just a few clicks. Nothing is impossible!
The Permissions Wizard allows you to break or restore inheritance and manage groups or individual members. You can also use it to manage site collections – remove unwanted principals, create, edit or remove permissions levels and add or remove site administrators. Learn more about this feature.
With the growth of a SharePoint site over time, organizing permissions can become quite difficult. The hierarchical permissions reports give a detailed overview of tree and leaf connections so you can reduce clutter. Check out the Site Collection, subsite, and list hierarchy.
Queries and Rules5.0
The new Queries and Rules feature allows you to enforce governance policies by creating and implementing SharePoint rules yourself. You can define manual or automatic procedures that allow you to manage content settings and create custom reports.
To check your rules’ efficiency you can now run custom queries and email the results. You can also track all the changes made by rules and queries in the history log. Get more info on this cool feature.
Permissions Cleanup Reports5.0
Over time, even the best-organized SharePoint portal can turn into an unmanageable pile of documents and data. Knowing which principals have which permissions and which users are orphaned or have no permissions can take hours and hours of work. With the permissions cleanup reports, this job is done accurately in a matter of minutes.
By using this feature, you will save time not just because it is so easy to use but also because it lends some extra powers beyond the built-in SharePoint managing capabilities.
